Sealcoating in Las Vegas

If you’ve just had a new driveway put in, it’s important to have it sealcoated. Sealcoating fills surface voids, reducing exposure to potentially damaging elements such as oxygen and the sun’s rays. As a waterproofing agent, it also will repel oil and gas. For longer lasting asphalt, sealcoating is the answer. At Andersen Asphalt & Striping LLC, we offer quality services at a fair price.

Our team is experienced and knowledgeable and pride themselves in practicing honestly and ethically to provide complete customer satisfaction. Call us today to become our next Las Vegas client and ensure your driveway’s long lifespan!

How Does it Work?

Like a wooden deck or piece of furniture, sealing asphalt is important to keep it looking fresh. Also like decking, a driveway is used often and exposed to a variety of Las Vegas weather conditions. Sealcoating provides the protective barrier required to stop cracking and warping. As with a stain, it also will make your driveway appear darker and more uniform which is a plus for curb appeal.

The barrier of sealcoating helps to retain moisture which keeps asphalt flexible, while not letting additional erosion-causing moisture in. Believe it or not, a driveway surface is very absorbent.

Heat and cold are not the only issues a new driveway will face. Eventually it will be exposed to corrosive agents such as oil, windshield fluid and gasoline. Don’t let these weaken your driveway! Andersen Asphalt & Striping LLC can apply an asphalt sealer so you don’t have to be concerned about a damaged driveway for a long, long time.

The Process

Driveway sealcoating is simple for an experienced team. If we’ve poured your driveway, this step will be incorporated in the full cost, but if we are sealing an existing driveway, the rate is minimal. Don’t feel the need to cut corners—applying sealer will save you money down the line.

It may seem like a job you could do yourself, however, a professional team will know how to do it properly, quickly and using the best asphalt sealer. There are a lot to choose from!

  • Coal tar
  • Asphalt
  • Acrylic
  • Water-based
  • Oil-based
  • Crack filler
  • Epoxy
  • Linseed oil-based

Asphalt sealcoating is done after the surface is cured. This generally takes 90 days. It is then ideally re-done every 6 to 12 months to keep things fresh.

Once we apply the material, it will take 24 to 48 hours before you can drive on it again, and 30 days to fully cure.
